Sign Supply USA LLC is now Proveer |
|
|
Pompano Beach, FL,
United States
, and Toronto, Canada April 15, 2009 Sign Supply USA and East West Plastic have combined their organizations to form the sign and graphics industry’s most innovative and integrated new company Proveer. Proveer means “to provide, supply or stock” and is derived from the Latin verb “providere.” Its definition and memorability make Proveer the ideal choice for the company, which provides sign and graphics supplies, equipment and services in 24 locations throughout the United States and Canada.
Sign Supply USA acquired East West Plastic in 2007, with East West operating as a division of the company. Since then, with the acquisition of East West Plastic, Hammocks Sign Supplies, Vinyl Sign Supply, Xpert Sign Supply and Standard Neon, it became evident that there was a need for a distinctive and singular brand. The new name will enable the company to speak to the marketplace with one voice, reduce costs associated with supporting multiple brands and eliminate name confusion with future mergers and acquisitions.
“The Sign Supply USA and East West Plastic names have been synonymous with product quality, service and cost efficiency. Combining the two organizations to form Proveer will give our customers a trusted source for their sign and graphics needs with an even wider selection of products,” said Jack Laine, Proveer President, Canada.
Proveer will provide the same level of quality and service customers have relied on from the former Sign Supply USA and East West Plastic. The company will carry a wide range of brand name sign and graphics supplies and equipment from suppliers such as Avery, Oracal, Coroplast, R Tape, Plaskolite, Sheffield, HP, Seiko, Roland, Graphtec, and U.S Led.
All Sign Supply USA and East West Plastic branches will now operate under the Proveer brand and will remain at their current locations. The Sign Supply USA and East West Plastic names will be completely retired over the next several months as the company undertakes the process of updating all facilities, marketing materials and delivery fleet with the Proveer name.

Proveer exec presents "Profit Enhancement" session, receives award at recent Sign Biz Reunion Event
|
|
|
Dana Point, CA (April 18, 2009) - Sign Biz International is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a robust list of industry partners. Founder of the largest non-franchise sign chain in the US, Sign Biz, Inc., again produced a fresh, innovative and relevant program for business owners and their staff at their annual Sign Biz International Convention, dubbed “the Reunion.” At this year’s event in Las Vegas in April, the Corporation fed the minds of its 100 attendees with 45 educational events, including three packed General Sessions on topics near and dear to an entrepreneur's heart during these unusual economic times. The Session entitled, "PROFIT ENHANCEMENT - Back of the House- Controlling Costs!" was no exception.
Featuring John Stevens, VP Strategic Accounts of Proveer (formerly Sign Supply USA), this session gave attendees the keys to gaining dollars at the bottom line. The information was developed to get "Cost of Goods Sold" under control and to make every business even more profitable. "We discovered innovative efficiencies that we can use today to reduce expenses and expand profits," explains Peter Wolf, one of the session panelists, and a Milestone Club Member of the Network. Daniel Gardynski, of Green Sponsor, Hewlett-Packard, discussed how to take control of workflow with a proven game plan. The fourth panelist and Sign Biz Advisory Board Member, Bill Potts, shared strategies for cutting payroll costs, and how to properly handle employees.
Acknowledging the contributions of Sponsors of the Reunion education program is a long-standing tradition. This year, Teresa M. Young, President and CEO of the 20-year-old company, honored John Stevens of Proveer as a Gold Sponsor for the first time. The company, formerly known as Sign Supply USA, has appeared at the Sign Biz Reunions in the past.
"We are thrilled to be part of an industry initiative that builds strong businesses - the Sign Biz Network Reunion events," explains Stevens. "The quality of these packed educational programs is just one of the reasons why we support Sign Biz and the network of digital sign companies. We know we have a strong partner in the Sign Biz leadership, and can provide meaningful services to the entrepreneurs in their chain."
"It is truly a pleasure to work with strong companies like Proveer, who understand the needs of the digital sign shop,” says Young. "They have stepped up to the plate, and everyone recognizes how significant that is in these harsh economic times. We know that both our Sponsors and our Members will benefit for years to come."
